![]() You need to log at least 50 hours of driving practice with a valid co-driver. ![]() You can only operate a motor vehicle between 5 a.m.Your co-driver must hold a valid minimum class 5 licence for at least 2 years and must accompany you when you're driving at all times.There's zero tolerance for alcohol or drug use for both you and your co-driver. ![]() In the learner stage there are restrictions you must follow: Study the Tuning Up for Drivers Handbook to prepare for your road test. You'll get a learner’s licence and package once you have passed the written and vision tests. If you need to wear glasses or contact lenses when you drive, this restriction will be shown on your licence. If you do not pass the vision test, you'll need further vision testing by an optometrist or ophthalmologist. ![]() You'll be required to have a vision test as part of the process to get your driver’s licence. They'll also have to show proof of identity. If you are under 18 you need to bring a parent or legal guardian.Bring valid identification and proof you're a Yukon resident.If you fail the test, you can take it again as early as the following day. You'll need to pay $20 for a new test. Come to a Motor Vehicles office to take your test.Study the Yukon Driver’s Basic Handbook to prepare for the written test.
